A day in the riad

Our philosophy : Dar Dajla is a Riad that offers you a unique experience: to feel at home while being in the centre of the Medina.

The facilities of the Riad are at your disposal for you to make use of them in total privacy. Aisha and Abdessalam are, however, always available concerning anything you may desire or need.

In the morning, Aisha will prepare your continental breakfast, after which she will kindly and neatly set the rooms and bathrooms. If you wish, you can ask her to cook your lunch or dinner,

traditional Moroccan dishes that she will willing to prepare in your presence if by any chance you would wish to engage in the knowledge of “marrakchia” gastronomy. You can also prepare the bread dough to take it to the communal oven, the way it is done in the Medina homes.
If you would rather not order anything, the ryad remains at your disposal (you keep the key) all through the day. You might need Abdessalam to buy some beer or wine for you, or rather train or bus tickets to go somewhere. Anything you would want, he is the man to go to, he is “the perfect man” around the house.
Upon arrival, we can offer you a taxi service at the airport at a reasonable and unarguable price. Mr. Ahmed will receive you and your group, if any, and will drive you up to Place Moukef where you will be greeted by Abdessalam, who will walk you to the Riad, show you around the house and prepare a warm welcoming Moroccan tea for you.

At Dar Dajla you are going to have an experience which has nothing to do with the one you have at a hotel or a commercially exploited ryad. You will be able to feel the genuine life at a derb (alley) in whichever way you choose, no strings attached. no imposed schedules or pre-established ways of functioning.
